Originally from Mexico City, a technology enthusiast and automation advocate in multimedia production, with over 19 years of experience collaborating with various Mexican studios such as VoltronMX, Urbe Collective, Linterna, Organika, Acitron, and Spaceboy. He has taken on multiple roles both on set and off, including camera operator and lead, drone operator, music producer, online producer, audio and video editor, colorist, motion graphics and VFX compositor, VFX supervisor, DIT, data wrangler, VTR operator, and more recently has specialized as a Virtual Production Supervisor.

Nelson Quimbay

Visual artist and audiovisual creator with a master’s degree in Audiovisual Creation from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. His work combines art, science, and technology through motion capture (Vicon) and virtual production in Unreal Engine 5, exploring the relationship between the digital body, narrative, and virtual environments.

He currently serves as Motion Capture Stage Manager at HCG Tech, providing support, consulting, and training in emerging technologies applied to virtual production. He is also co-founder of F:32 Producciones, recognized in festivals such as 48 Hour Films and Runway 48, and has conducted national and international workshops and conferences on virtual production, motion capture, and innovative audiovisual storytelling.
